Special Collections Librarian, Claire Arrand has organised the latest display about making medieval inspired tiles on the ground floor of the library. Students and staff were under the direction of local artisan Andrew MacDonald from the Pot Shop on Steep Hill.
The students spent the day creating works of art in clay. The display shows text supplied by Andrew, photographs of the day and the results of their work.
The Medieval Lincoln as Classroom project was funded by a College of Arts Teaching & Learning Innovation Fund, the Lincoln School of English and Journalism, and the Lincoln School of History and Heritage. On 20th March 2018 the following event was organised by Renée Ward and Hollie Morgan under the auspices of the Medieval Studies Research Centre.
